Queensbury, NY - Cumberland Farms launched a fundraiser today to raise money for the Queensbury Elementary School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA). The month long event is designed to celebrate the grand opening of the retailer’s newest modeled convenience store, located at 966 Rt.9.

During the course of the fundraiser, Cumberland Farms will donate 20 cents from every Chill Zone beverage and cup of coffee sold at this location to the Queensbury Elementary PTSA. The PTSA supports numerous activities that enrich and expand children’s education at the school. The PTSA provides programs, such as the Annual Art Show, Book Fairs, After School Creative Network, Recycling Programs, Fun Fair and the Foreign Language Program—all vital to the students’ success.

“Our organization holds only one major school fundraiser every 2 years, “said PTSA President Jennifer Chase. “We are very appreciative of this generous donation from Cumberland Farms and thank them for their support.”

Cumberland Farms aims to raise at least $1,000 for the program.

“This fundraiser is our way of acknowledging the families of Queensbury who work so hard and are increasingly busy,” said Ari Haseotes, president of Cumberland Farms Retail Division.  “It’s our pleasure to help Queensbury’s students make smart choices, develop important skills, and excel in their studies”

So far this year, Cumberland Farms has donated over $150,000 to support local schools in communities across the Northeast.
