Responsibilities
As a Multi-Unit Area Sales Manager, your duties include:
- Coaching and mentoring a group of store managers through their day-to-day operation of their stores.
- Sales leadership.
- Overseeing the implementation of merchandising programs and strategies.
- Motivating your store teams.
- Managing the financial health of your stores.
- Driving revenue growth and profit growth.
- Inventory management and loss prevention.
- Staffing and training of your store teams / Team building and manpower planning
A Multi-Unit Area Sales Manager with Cumberland Farms is an integral level of management between the Store locations and the corporate office. An Area Sales Manager is a coach, mentor, and supervises the overall successes of his/her stores in order to achieve maximum results.
Keys to Success
A successful Multi-Unit Area Sales Manager has:
- Prior retail Experience with at least 1 – 2 years of multi-unit experience.
- Excellent team building and mentoring skills.
- Strong business skills – communication, writing, and organizational.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Strong time-management skills.
- The ability to build sales, control inventory, and excel with the strongest customer service skills.
- The ability to differentiate and temper their communication and mentoring style to meet the needs of their different Store Managers.

Our Multi-Unit Area Sales Manager Trainee Program offers the best in-store training on store operations, merchandising concepts and procedures, financial information and employee relations. Training is at least twelve weeks depending on experience, and your demonstrated ability to run a Cumberland Farms convenience Store.
Position includes company car (upon assignment), lap top computer and quarterly incentive program.
